"Headwaters"
Located just outside the town of Sisters, Oregon is the headwaters for the Metolius River. Standing where this image was made there will be a mountain to your left and the river valley before you. Out of this mountain flows the waters that make the Metolius River. The thick foliage that grows at the base of the mountain is fed by the water bubbling up and hides it's emergence from site. Off in the distance the peak of Mount Jefferson cuts into the sky. I created this image based on what I believe it must have looked like prior to settlers, ranchers and sportsman. In this scene I was inspired by the vision of a lone bull Elk bugling in the distance.
