One of my favorite places is the Hood River area of Oregon.   The lush forest of the Zig Zag and Salmon Rivers creates a feeling of peace and wonderment for me.   Rising early I hiked back into the forest with the Zig Zag getting smaller as I went.   The only sound that morning was the sound of the rushing water.
